However, after losing a friend to a fatal bike crash, I knew I had to change. Instead of settling for the "sci-fi" looking helmets on the market, I set out to design one that people would actually want to wear.
We named our company "Thousand" as a goal to help save 1,000 lives by creating helmets that people desire. This name serves as a daily reminder of why we do what we do.
At Thousand, we are committed to environmental sustainability. We measure, reduce, and offset 110% of our annual carbon emissions to have a positive impact on the planet. Furthermore, our Anti-Theft Policy ensures that if your helmet is ever stolen while locked to your bike, we'll replace it for free.
Our helmets are designed with your safety and comfort in mind. They are certified for cycling, roller skating, and skateboarding in North America and Europe. The secret PopLock feature allows you to conveniently and securely lock your helmet to your bike using a U-lock or chain. The magnetic buckle provides a pinch-free closure, while the easily adjustable Dial Fit System ensures a perfect fit every time.
For your comfort, we use sustainable vegan leather straps and incorporate seven air vents and three cooling channels to keep you cool. If you're ever in an accident and your helmet is damaged, we'll replace it for free through our Free Accident Replacement policy.
Our helmet line includes the Heritage, Chapter, and Heritage Jr. models, catering to diverse needs. The Crossbody Handlebar Bag and Helmet Light Traveler Bike Lights are additional accessories to complement your ride.
